Thermal Camera Imaging Service

The thermal imager is an imaging system. In this system, the imaging method is based on invisible infrared energy (ie heat). The general structure of the image is formed by the colors and shapes formed by infrared energy.

Infrared means infrared. The wavelength of an electromagnetic radiation, Infrared radiation, is longer than visible light, but shorter than microwaves. Infra means down in Latin, red means red in English. Therefore Infrared means infrared or infrared. Infrared is the way heat is transported by light. Solar lights have this feature. These rays that reach the earth by passing the space gap heat the earth as they carry the heat.

Thermal imagers are generally used for security purposes. However, there is no obstacle to the use of the sectors in need. Particularly due to the development of night vision systems, heat-guided missiles and similar military applications, its importance has increased.

The use of thermal imagers in the electricity sector is for the detection of electrical problems. The heat generated in the materials that the electric current passes through is monitored by thermal imagers and problems are easily identified. Overloaded power transformers, contact points, cables, capacitors and similar materials are monitored by the thermal imager and problems in the heated areas are detected without the need for further electrical measurements.

Thermal imagers are also used in the construction industry. Thermal cameras are also used to detect metal fatigue, especially in steel structures, or to locate mold, moisture or cracks under plaster.

Importance of Thermal Camera Imaging

In a photograph taken with a thermal imager, warm zones are indicated by light and cold zones by dark. The hottest regions are shown in yellow and the coldest regions in blue. Thermal cameras can capture and photograph the temperature difference, even at very small temperatures. With this feature, thermal imager systems are widely used in military and civilian fields. For example, detection of leaks in steam, pressurized gas, hot water, or hot air conveying systems, electrical panels, transmission lines, connection errors of overloaded energy systems and detection of heated zones caused by overloading, detection of friction parts of motor, bearing or rotating parts, thermal cameras are used to measure the energy efficiency of business centers or residences or to control humidity and humidity.

In short, normal cameras generate the image with the light it detects, but thermal cameras use heat to create the image.

In particular, all electrical distribution systems, electrical wiring, control panels and electrical equipment in an enterprise against fire danger are controlled by thermal imager systems. Thanks to these studies, many occupational accidents are prevented and risks that may cause major damages are eliminated. Thermal camera imaging services are regarded as a preventive maintenance work in the modern operation concept and the companies demand this work periodically.

In the Annex of the Regulation on Health and Safety Conditions in Use of Work Equipment issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, issues related to maintenance, repair and periodic checks (Annex-III), thermal camera imaging services are included. Accordingly, thermal imager imaging services should be carried out by engineers, technicians or technicians who are skilled in this field.

Today, a large number of test and inspection organizations provide thermal imager services to businesses. Within this framework, our organization TÜRCERT Technical Control and Certification Inc. provides thermal imager services to the demanding enterprises with a competent manager and staff and a strong infrastructure.
